Nordstrom is closing stores in the United States as it seeks to make its stores more efficient.
The company has also announced that it will soon be offering its employees free, unlimited online shopping, as well as gift cards and coupons.
It has also said that it plans to open new stores in Europe by the end of the year.
The news comes amid efforts by President Donald Trump to push retailers to close stores.
Earlier this month, he tweeted that retailers were “screwed” and should “close or move” if they did not do better.
The move comes at a time when the company is facing criticism for its decision to keep stores open and for a $1.3 billion investment in its stores last year.
Trump has also pledged to eliminate “job-killing taxes” on retailers.
